So, I have finally made my foray into the blogging world! I am so excited about all the options that have just opened to myself and my students. I have alot to learn about blogging, but I know that all the pros out there will help me out. My friend Jessica has given me a crash course and now I am up and running. Check back often to see what new things I am learning to do!
Dear Mrs. Bynum,
Welcome to the world of blogging! I love it and I think you will too!
Thanks for visiting my classroom blog and for leaving a comment. I couldn’t believe that my class gave me an iPad! I’m still amazed!
Let me know if you need any help! 🙂
From,
Linda Yollis
Hello Mrs. Bynum,
Thank you for the kind comment on our class blog! It was my first year with a blog and it was a great success.
I think the best way to get people to visit your blog is to first visit others and leave them comments, just like you did on mine. You can find other great class blogs by following others blogrolls. Many blogs make it a point to return comments, especially if your students can leave comments. Of course, once school starts up, posts with students’ work and/or voices will get a lot of attention. Some simple but exciting applications are Voicethread, PhotoPeach, and Fotobabble.
Two blogs that I have learned a great deal from are Mrs. Yollis’ Class Blog and 2KM. Also, feel free to email me with any questions.
Happy blogging!
-Mr. Salsich
G’day Mrs Bynum,
Welcome to the world of edublogging. While setting up your blog and using it with your students, you will find you have a very, very, very steep learning curve. I have now been blogging with students for three years and twice yearly, also run a student blogging challenge. Feel free to visit my students at our class blog. (Just click on my avatar or name)
If you want to visit the student challenge blog, here is the link. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org The next challenge will begin mid September and there will be a google docs form appear on that blog near the end of August ready for classes to register.
